The Coffeyville City Commission tables the contract to supply water to the City of Caney to the next commission meeting on January 9th. Incoming Commissioners Alec Hendryx and Jim Faulkner say they wanted the issue tabled.
Caney City Administrator Kelly Zellner says there is a lot of crossover between the two cities. Zellner says they are well over a year to two years away from starting the project. He says a contract with Coffeyville can help them in receiving grant money. This was the first meeting with Interim City Manager Tim Wilson and the last full meeting for outgoing Commissioners Bob York, Pam Jones and Jason Swindell.
