Commerce, OK, fire crews respond to an early morning structure fire.

 Shortly after midnight this morning, the Commerce Fire Department was called to a structure fire in the 400 block of south Elm Street. Upon arrival, firefighters found a garage that had been converted into a residence engulfed in smoke and flames. The small house was completely destroyed in the blaze and a female resident was treated at the scene for minor injuries.

Also responding to the call was Quapaw City Fire and Quapaw Nation Fire.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
