A two-vehicle accident involving a Labette County sheriff's deputy leaves both drivers injured.

The accident happened around 9:30 yesterday morning.  A 2022 Ford F150 pickup driven by 44-year-old Deputy Krystal Hubbard, of Dennis, was traveling west on US 160 between Mound Valley and Altamont.  Hubbard attempted to turn south onto K-101 in front of the 1999 Ford Ranger pickup driven by 31-year-old Jason Schlotz, of Altamont, causing the Ranger to hit the F150. 

Both drivers were taken to Labette County Health.  Hubbard sustained minor injuries while Schlotz was reported with serious injuries.
