A Coffeyville Christmas Radio Program

Christmas is fast approaching and if you're looking for a way to get in the holiday spirit, KGGF has you covered.

A rebroadcast of KGGF's "A Coffeyville Christmas" is coming up on Christmas morning at 8 a.m. on The Mighty 690.  On Saturday, December 16th, members from the community came together to perform this Christmas variety program on the radio including two old-time radio dramas: Our Miss Brooks and Gunsmoke.  The program raised more than $700 towards restoring the historic Midland Theater in Coffeyville between sponsors donating towards the program and freewill donations at the door.  In addition to the two dramas, local musicians Chris Freund and Haylie Bagwell performed along with the United Singers group.  A crowd of about 60 was in attendance to watch the live radio show from the basement fellowship hall of St. Paul's Lutheran Church.  Pastors Jon Franson and Joe Brooks helped out by reading the Christmas story from the bible.  Countless individuals helped put this show on, including many performers who were once involved in the Coffeyville Community Theater group, which was active before the 2007 flood destroyed Floral Hall.  Many community helped out behind the scenes making the show a reality.  The program is also available in its entirety below.
