Coffeyville Native Competes at NFR

A Coffeyville native continues to make headlines at this year's Wrangler National Finals Rodeo. Coffeyville's Jake Long and partner Clint Summers just missed placing in last night's Round eight with a time of 9.4 seconds. It wasn't the team's best night but not their worst either. Heeler Long and header summers have taken first in rounds one, two, four and seven. Long says their round seven three-way tie was surprising given the tough steer they had to deal with.

Summers says their focus is on enjoying the spotlight of the NFR and taking the rounds as they come.

So far, the team has collected more than $116,000 in winnings. Round nine takes place tonight and the rodeo wraps up on Saturday with round ten.
