Humboldt schools briefly went into a soft lockdown yesterday due to the search for a burglary suspect.

 At around 11:30 am yesterday, the Humboldt police executed a felony search warrant in the area of Franklin Street and Sterling Ridge. The suspect fled causing both the lockdown and the involvement of the Kansas Highway Patrol.

The suspect was wanted in connection with a burglary case in Iola. The suspect was located and taken into custody just after 3pm yesterday. The school lockdown was a precautionary measure.
