An anonymous tip leads to the arrest of two men on multiple outstanding warrants.
On Monday at around 10:00pm, Montgomery County Sheriff deputies received an anonymous tip, regarding Theodeous Armstrong and William Little being spotted at 224 South 15th in Independence. Armstrong has four outstanding warrants, three for contempt of court and one for aggravated escape from custody and Little has five outstanding warrants, four of which are for failure to appear. Deputies successfully confirmed both men were inside the residence, but they refused to exit.
The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office Emergency Response Team was activated along with the Coffeyville Police Department’s SWAT team. The Independence Police Department and Independence Emergency Services responded by providing additional support. Deputies continuously requested both men to exit the residence peacefully, eventually gaining compliance from both. Armstrong and Little were taken into custody and transported to the Montgomery County Jail.
