Peck Hears From Constituents On Listening Tour

State Senator Virgil Peck concludes his listening tour with stops in Cherryvale and Parsons.

Peck has spent many days in the past two weeks traveling through District 15 to hear what voters are thinking about before the state legislature reconvenes in January. Peck has visited cities in Chautauqua, Elk, Montgomery, and Labette counties. He says he has heard about a lot of topics that voters in southeast Kansas are concerned about.

Peck says he has also heard lot about Medicaid expansion. He calls the proposal the biggest thing Governor Laura Kelly wants from the upcoming legislative session. Peck adds that while he is against the expansion, he is willing to listen to his constituents about why he should vote in favor of the Governor's plan. The Kansas legislature is currently on break and will reconvene on January 8th .
