Local first responders answer call of an over turned semi.

 Yesterday morning around 11:30 AM, the Montgomery County Rural Fire along with Independence Kansas Fire & EMS and Montgomery County Sheriff's Office were called to the an area on Oak Street, just east of Peter Pan Road for an overturned semi. Units were on scene for about 4 1/2 hours while the fuel and oil spill was contained and cleaned up and the semi was removed. No injuries were reported and the road was opened back up around 3 PM. Also on scene was Montgomery County, Kansas Public Works, and Montgomery County KS Environmental Health and Zoning.
