A home in rural Jasper County, Missouri, suffers extensive damage after a weekend fire.
Just after 6pm on Saturday night, fire crews were dispatched to a home north east of Galena near the Kansas-Missouri border. Crews from the Carl Junction Fire Department, the Jasper county Sheriff's Department, Webb City Fire, and METS ambulance responded to the blaze.
The two occupants of the house made it out safely though their pets were unable to escape the fire and smoke. The Red Cross has been requested to assist the couple. Preliminary reports indicate that the fire was accidental.
