Chautauqua County Emergency Management has lifted the county-wide burn ban that has been in place since September 1st .
The ban was initially put in place due to extremely dry conditions and a lack of sufficient firefighting water. Those who wish to conduct an outdoor burn are still subject to county regulations under county ordinance 2019-1. The ordinance can be found here.
