One is arrested after a traffic stop leads to a short chase in Parsons.

Sunday, a Parsons Police Officer was on a routine patrol when he noticed a vehicle driving recklessly performing donuts at the intersection before speeding off. Eventually, the vehicle came to a stop and the driver, Xavier Donnell Porter, exited the vehicle crawling to the ground from the driver's seat. A search of the vehicle found an open bottle of Tequila, pills, and methamphetamine.

Porter was placed under arrest with recommended charges of possession of a controlled substance, transporting an open container, reckless driving, driving under the influence, driving while suspended, violation of offender registration and multiple traffic violations.
