The SWAT Team was called to a Joplin residence yesterday evening.

 Just before 5pm last night, Joplin Police were called to a residence on the 3400 block of South Joplin Street in the Oak Ridge neighborhood to conduct a well-being check of a female at that location. When officers arrived on scene, they discovered a male in the house with outstanding felony warrants. Officers set up a perimeter around the home and began to use a bullhorn to speak with those inside, asking them to exit the residence. SWAT was called in and broke into the back door of the house just before 6pm.. The occupants exited without incident and the male was taken into custody. The female was unharmed.
