Chautauqua County Approves New Imaging Service

There will be a new imaging service coming to Chautauqua County, which will provide clearer and focused 3-D images of the county.

Eagle View imagery is able to provide services for the county appraiser and sheriff departments, providing cutting edge angles and photographs of county properties and land. Both Montgomery and Elk counties also have agreed to the services of Eagle View, who cover over 50% of counties in Kansas, Iowa, and Nebraska.

The agreement is for three years, and will be paid in annual installments of $21,467.

Additional items of business at this week's commission meeting was further discussion regarding plans for rural trash service moving forward in the county. The commissioners will schedule a meeting with Waste Connections in the coming weeks. Additionally, a truck from the Road & Bridge Department caught fire last week, and the county is investigating the cause of the fire.
