A two vehicle accident Sunday evening involves a Newton County deputy and K9.
Around 8:40 p.m., the call came into Joplin 911 about a crash at 32nd and Rangeline. Joplin Police, Fire and METS ambulance responded. JPD says the deputy was running lights and sirens responding to a call on East 32nd Street when he was struck by a northbound passenger car.
No one, including the K9, were injured. Portions of 32nd and Rangeline were closed for about 45 minutes while the accident was cleared.
