A USD 445 Board member and Coffeyville's Early Learning Center namesake passes away. Dr. Jerry Hamm, who spent 39 years in the district, passed away on September 6th at the age of 90. Superintendent Dr. Craig Correll says legacy is the first word that comes to mind when he thinks of Dr. Hamm.
Dr. Correll says Dr. Hamm didn't just serve on the board of education, he had numerous other roles in the district over the years. Dr. Correll says Dr. Hamm will be greatly missed.
Memorial services for Dr. Hamm and his wife Norma will be on October 14th at 11:00am at Coffeyville First United Methodist Church. Donations can be made in his honor to the Early Learning Center, Community Health Center of Southeast Kansas or the First United Methodist Church of Coffeyville with a designation for educational purposes.
