Three fire departments respond to a rural structure fire on a farm in Montgomery County.

Montgomery County Rural Fire Department Sycamore Division responded to Springer Farms for a structure fire. Upon arriving on scene firefighters found smoke coming from the attic of one of the pig barns. Montgomery County Rural Fire Department Independence Division and Independence Fire & EMS responded for mutual aid.

Firefighters quickly extinguished the fire with minimal damage. The fire was caused by an electric line igniting the insulation.
