Excessive Heat Continues

 The excessive heat wave across the four state area is expected to continue through tomorrow.

 The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration in Wichita says the extreme heat conditions we've been experiencing should continue through tomorrow. If you are outside, the N-O-A-A wants you to know the warning signs of heat exhaustion which include dizziness, thirst, heavy sweating, nausea, and weakness. Signs of the more severe heat stroke include confusion, dizziness, and becoming unconscious. If you experience heat exhaustion, you should move to a cooler area, loosen your clothing, and sip cool water. Heat exhaustion can lead to heat stroke, so if your symptoms do not improve, you should seek medical attention. Heat stroke can be deadly, so if you suspect someone my be suffering heat stroke, call 9-1-1. Then move the person to a cooler area, loosen their clothing and remove extra layers, and cool them with water or ice.
