Coffeyville FFA places at the Vet Science competition in Independence. The Vet Science Team for Coffeyville FFA placed third overall as a team. The team members include Morgan Way, Halle Hayes, Deyonna Shelly, Anna Merka, Cheyenne Davis and Anna Powers. Two members of the team placed Top 10 individually with Way finishing 6^th and Hayes placing 10^th.

The Vet Science contest was held at ICC West and the veterinary nursing program helped facilitate the contest. There were over 150 students who participated in the event making up A, B and Extra teams. The contest consists of 60 identifications of animals, parasites, and veterinary equipment, an anatomy and physiology component, a general knowledge exam and a math test. There are two more competitions this spring the first on April 6^th for Allen County Aggie Day and the second one is the State Contest on May 1^st.
