Autopsies confirm the man and woman found Wednesday morning inside a home in Joplin died of gunshot wounds.

 Captain Will Davis says Joplin PD discovered the bodies Wednesday morning at 1403 E. Langston Hughes-Broadway in response to a request for a well-being check.

 The investigation into the shootings of 24-year-old Savanna Bell and 44-year-old Jason Shofler remains ongoing. No information has been released regarding a possible reason why the two were killed or if any suspects are being sought. Davis says a single weapon was recovered at the scene, but confirmation on whether that weapon was used to shoot both Bell and Shofler has not been received.
