A man who wanted an active warrant is found and arrested.

 Wednesday evening around 9:30, two officers on normal patrol spotted a known wanted individual. 22-year-old Lazarus Thomas Hinman of Parsons was spotted near the Parsonian Apartments in the 1700 block of Broadway. Hinman had an active Labette County Warrant. Officers attempted to stop Hinman, but Hinman fled.

 Hinman was subdued by an officer with the use of his Taser, but he refused EMS treatment at the scene.

 Officers located what is suspected to be meth in Hinman's pocket. He was booked in the Parsons Police Department on charges of possession of narcotics, probation violation, possession of drug paraphernalia, and interference with law enforcement.

 The investigation is ongoing.
