Two Arrested In Illegal Marijuana Plant Operation

Thousands of marijuana plants were seized from three marijuana farms in Craig County Wednesday after Oklahoma Bureau of Narcotics agents receive a tip about illegal marijuana sales.

OBN Spokesman Mark Woodward says the allegedly illegal operations were located at 21704 South 4440 Road in rural Vinita. Agents posing as out-of-state buyers made multiple purchases, seizing nearly 7,000 plants, 250 pounds of processed marijuana, and four guns.

53-year-old Thai Anthony Xiong and 36-year-old Kia Lor Xiong were arrested on charges of marijuana trafficking and distribution, as well as endeavors of conspiring to deliver, manufacture, or possess controlled dangerous substances.

OBN director Donnie Anderson says his agency is committed to aggressively identifying and dismantling organized transnational crime networks that are entrenched within Oklahoma’s medical marijuana program. The investigation is ongoing.
