The City of Coffeyville has posted an opening for a fire chief.

Almost two weeks after removing former Fire Chief Kenneth Ward from his duties the city has posted the opening for his position. This also comes a week after an overflow crowd attended the city commission meeting in support of Ward. Despite Ward asking for his job back and the overwhelming support from the community, it appears that Coffeyville is planning on going in a different direction.

The City Commission met for an hour in executive session to discuss personnel but no decision was made. The next commission meeting is scheduled for 6:30pm on Tuesday.
