Wilson County announced that they will move forward with five new Election Poll Books.

 

The county will receive the new Poll Books courtesy of Election Systems and Software for $11,485. The books are guaranteed 15 years, which is drastically better than the previous two Apple products, which were only guaranteed 3 years.

 

Additional items of discussion at the Wilson County Commission meeting was the presentation of the monthly budget report from County Coordinator Kris Marple, as well as Cody Seller, Tom Bilyeu, Rodney & Jerry Hare, and Steve Freiss expressing concern over the volume of commercial truck traffic on 410 Road. The Commission agreed to request no commercial truck signage from KDOT at the US-75 and US-169 intersections.

 

There will be no commissioner meeting next week on March 29th. The next scheduled meeting will be April 5th.
