The Joplin Police Department is investigating the deaths of two people found in a midtown Joplin home.

 JPD officials say the bodies of the male and female were discovered after a call was made requesting a well-being check. 24-year-old Savannah Bell and 44-year-old Jason Shoffler were discovered at 1403 East Langston Hughes-Broadway residence. Autopsies are scheduled for today.

 Officers had to force entry into the home. No information was given on the cause or manner of the two deaths, although officials do believe there is no threat to the public.

 The investigation is ongoing.
