A Joplin man is facing manslaughter charges from a 2021 fatal crash that killed three people.
Anthony Hendricks has been charged with three counts of first-degree manslaughter for the crash in Ottawa County that claimed the life of 29-year-old Terry Wilkins, 7-year-old Eden Melton, and 5-year-old Raylan Brown, all of Joplin. The crash happened September 17, 2021, just after 2:00 p.m. on State Highway 10, just east of South 670 Road. Court documents say Hendricks caused their deaths while under the influence of marijuana while driving at a high rate of speed.
Hendricks first appeared in court Friday with his next court arraignment date set for April 5th. No reason has been given by the prosecutor's office for the time between the accident and formal charges.
