Remains found in Wilson County spark an investigation.

The Kansas Bureau of Investigation and the Wilson County Sheriff’s Office are conducting the investigation after human remains were found in Wilson County yesterday evening. At around 6:50pm, out-of-state hunters called 911 after encountering human remains in a pasture. Deputies responded to the location, approximately a mile south of Coyville near Decatur Road.

An autopsy is scheduled. At this time, the person has not been identified. Due to the condition of the remains, positive identification is expected to take longer than in most cases.
