A Joplin man is one of five arrested for various sexual charges of a minor.

 Instead of using electronic devices to chat with and obtain nude photographs of children, the men were talking to investigators with the Child Predator Unit who were posing as children. The Miami Police Department, along with federal, state, and tribal agencies took the five men into custody.

 Taylor Hall, of Joplin, and William Goode, of Springfield, were arrested on charges of online child enticement. The men allegedly sent nude photographs and were seeking similar pictures in return. Goode allegedly planned to drive to Miami from Springfield to have sex with the child.  He was arrested by Joplin police and was extradited to Ottawa County in January.
