The city of Parsons is receiving a grant to make walking their trails easier.

 Parsons is one of twenty-five towns that received $50-thousand from T-Mobile's hometown grants program. The grant will pave a connection between Frisco and Rotary trails and will help with the installation of emergency blue light stations connected to the police department. Officials say the stations will make the trails safer any time of day or night. Officials hope the connecting trail will get more residents outside this summer when the project is expected to be completed.
