Twenty One Charges Filed In Pittsburg Standoff

Twenty-one charges have been filed against a Pittsburg man involved in shootings and a manhunt in Crawford County.

Aaron Swink has been charged with attempted murder against law enforcement, aggravated assault of law enforcement, criminal threat, and aggravated assault. March 6th and 7th, Pittsburg PD responded to several calls about a man who turned out to be Swink. He is accused of shooting the windows out of a vehicle on the 100 block of West 23rd Street. He is also thought to be the man who shot a gun several times in the area around the 900 to 1100 blocks of West 4th Street. Swink was found a short time later in the Garden of Memories Cemetery at 149 South Highway 69. Pittsburg officials say Swink engaged in gunfire with officers and deputies, but no injuries were reported. After a four-hour standoff, Swink was able to escape, and a pursuit ensued. Law enforcement was able to disable his vehicle, but he fled on foot. Authorities arrested him around 6:30 pm near South 220 Street in Pittsburg.
