New Playground Ready in South Coffeyville

Students in South Coffeyville will have a new playground when they return from spring break.

After months of delays, Superintendent Daryl Pruter says the playground is finally ready for use.

The playground was supposed to open in August but was delayed because of contractor issues and concrete work having to be redone several times. The playground will be used by children up to second grade and features one main jungle gym with several slides plus artificial turf and some outdoor musical features. In other business at their meeting last night, the school board hired Jade Dolan to be the Minutes Clerk, renewed their partnership with the South Coffeyville Police Department for a school resource officer and announced two new busses to be delivered to the district in April.
