A head-on collision Saturday morning takes the lives of two women.
The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says an eastbound vehicle driven by 23-year-old Kimberly Quals, of Baxter Springs, crossed the center line on Highway 69A around 7:00 a.m. and struck a westbound vehicle driven by 26-year-old Kayleigh Vann of Quapaw head-on. Both women were pinned for approximately one hour; they were pronounced dead at the scene by Quapaw Nation EMS.
The investigation is ongoing.
