The Caney Police Department is warning residents about a scam concerning Amazon.
Late last week, Caney police were contacted by a resident, saying they were contacted by someone who told them there was an issue with their Amazon account. The individual wanted information so the issue could be cleared up. The resident did not give any information to the caller.
Caney police remind residents that there are many different scams that happen daily. They remind everyone to never give personal information out over the phone including date of birth, social security number, and even address.
