An Okmulgee, Oklahoma man is sentenced for his role in a Tulsa man's murder.
22-year-old Marquelon Johnson will serve 25 years in prison for second-degree murder in the killing of a Tulsa convenience store clerk. U.S. Attorney Clint Johnson says Johnson chased and shot and killed the victim, who was sweeping trash from a convenience store parking lot. Johnson says he's thankful to everyone in the judicial process for ensuring Johnson is brought to justice for this heinous crime.
After serving 300 months in federal prison for the second-degree murder charge, Johnson will serve five years on supervised release.
