More Information Released On The Capture Of Swink

More information has been released on the manhunt and eventual capture of Aaron Swink.

Pittsburg Police Officers responded to a call around midnight Monday. 39-year-old Aaron Swink, of Pittsburg, was identified shooting the windows out of a vehicle. Swink was able to flee before the officers arrived. Twenty-five hours later, two more calls came into the Pittsburg dispatch regarding multiple shots fired in the area of the 900 to 1100 blocks of West 4th Street.

A few minutes later, law enforcement located Swink in the Garden of Memories Cemetery. Gunfire was exchanged, and a four-hour standoff took place.

At around 5:40 A.M., a vehicle pursuit began as Swink left the cemetery, and was able to escape on foot just south of Pittsburg city limits after his vehicle was disabled by law enforcement. Swink was ultimately captured without further incident near South 220 Street in Pittsburg at about 6:30 Tuesday evening.
