Dewey Schools Looking To Improve Buildings District Wide

An $8.1-million bond proposal to provide funds for district-wide projects is now a ballot issue for Dewey Public Schools.

One of the projects would install a new roof at Dewey Elementary School. A second project would construct a new parking lot behind the high school gym for student and event parking. Other projects would relocate and construct a new bus yard and garage, installing new interior classroom doors and windows, plus exterior doors at all school sites and the cafeteria.

Sports projects would include constructing a new football and track entrance on the east side to include concession stands and restrooms, plus resurfacing the track, and improving the high school gym's interior.

The last day to register for the Tuesday, April 4th election is tomorrow.
