A man is seriously injured after a semi accident north of Cherryvale.

According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, 45-year-old Thomas Amaya of Texas was driving a semi-truck north on U.S. 169 north of Cherryvale when he went off the road to the right and struck a guard rail. The semi overturned just south of the creek. Thomas was taken to Labette Health with a suspected serious injury. He was not wearing a seat belt.
