Recently Completed Neosho Wildlife Area has Doubled Number of Ducks

The recently completed Neosho Wildlife Area near St. Paul has been a resounding success, according to Ducks Unlimited.

Ducks Unlimited Regional Director Chris Young says the area, which took 9 years to complete now holds 150,000 - 200,000 ducks compared to around 70,000 in years past.

Young, who spoke at the Coffeyville Rotary Club meeting says the purpose of Ducks Unlimited is to raise private funds to match federal grants to restore wildlife areas.  He says the organization does so through a combination of donations and fundraisers.
