Injuries in Crash Near Neodesha

 

Two people have injuries after an accident near Neodesha.

 

According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, 22-year-old Nathaniel James Altis of Severy was driving a 2011 GMC Acadia east on 400 Friday and attempted to make a left turn onto Granby Street one mile west of Neodesha. Altis turned into the path of an oncoming 2015 Honda CRV driven by 77-year-old Michael Reed of Parsons. Both vehicles hit head on. Reed and passenger 69-year-old John Davolt of Independence were both taken to area hospitals with non-life-threatening injuries.  According to Davolt's daughter, John is in stable condition in the ICU in Springfield.  He has several broken ribs, a broken shin and ankle, and two fractures on his back. Altis had no apparent injury.
