A child has died after an accident in rural Elk County.
According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, 17-year-old Ariadna Ascenio of Wichita was driving a Polaris Ranger side-by-side on a wind farm road about 6 miles north of US-160. The side-by-side turned south, overturned and the child passenger was ejected and killed. Due to the nature of the incident and the age of the child, no further information will be released.
