The change value notices were sent out this week in Wilson County, and while a majority of the results are relatively standard, there is a massive outlier.

 

County Appraiser Jessica Porter says that there was a near 800% increase in the value of Personal Property Semi Trucks. Residential properties increased by an average of approximately 7% this year.

 

Additional items of discussion at the Wilson County Commission meeting were the approval of the Local Emergency Planning Committee Bylaws, which are amended every five years. The commissioners also approved the lease-purchase of two used 2018 CAT 120M motor graders for $290,000.00

 

There will be no commissioner meetings on March 15th, March 29th, and April 5th.
