A Darby, Kansas man is hospitalized after a two-car accident yesterday afternoon.

 The Missouri Highway Patrol says the accident happened at Highway 171 and Sumac Road, near the Kansas – Missouri state line. 71-year-old Dana Kegley was driving a 2015 Toyota Highlander and failed to stop at a stop sign, pulling into the path of a car driven by 51-year-old Timothy Frazier, of Joplin. Frazier’s vehicle slammed into the Kegley vehicle, causing it to leave the roadway, and overturn into a field. 76-year-old John Kegley was transported by medical helicopter to Freeman Hospital with serious injuries. Mrs. Kegley was transported to Freeman hospital by ambulance with moderate injuries, while Frazier was taken by ambulance to Mercy Hospital in Joplin, also with moderate injuries.
