Playground Updates at Pfister Park

New Equipment will soon be available for children in Pfister Park.  The Coffeyville City Commission and city workers met last night to take a look at progress on the playground by the stone shelter west of the Aquatic Center and to kickoff the start of park improvement projects. The old equipment has been removed and new updated equipment is going in. Some parts like the swing set were able to be reused with the addition of new chains and seats.

Mayor Ann Marie Vannoster says she's excited to see the progress.

City Manager Mark Hall says the plan is to update one park each year, starting with Sycamore Park near Community Elementary School, while paying for each project as funds come in from the new half-cent sales tax approved by voters.  At last night's city commission meeting, Hall said Sycamore Park should be completed by the end of the year, with the majority of work to be done by city workers.
