The Kansas Corporation Commission is hosting workshops on the topic of renewable energy resources and their reliability.
Each workshop will feature experts on resource adequacy and will answer questions from KCC commissioners and staff as they discuss the intermittency of renewable resources, fuel availability, and outage rates for all generation types. The KCC says that careful planning is required to ensure adequate energy and reliability in the event of extreme weather events.
The first workshop is on January 25th from 9 am until 11 and can be seen live on ZOOM or on KCC’s YouTube channel.
