A traffic stop in Chanute leads to a drug arrest. Earlier this week officers with the Chanute Police Department conducted a traffic stop in the 2100 block of S. Santa Fe Ave. After an investigation and speaking with persons involved, officers arrested 52-year-old William Riley of Chanute for possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession of cocaine. Upon completion reports will be forwarded to Neosho County Attorney’s Office for review and consideration of charges filed.
