One suspect is in custody after Cherokee County Sheriff Investigators seize meth and firearms from a rural Baxter Springs home.
According to the Cherokee County Sheriff's Department, around 7:30 a.m. yesterday, a search warrant was executed on Southeast Prairie Road as the result of an ongoing criminal investigation into suspected drug activity. Fourty-four-year-old Jason Tessman was transported to the Cherokee County Jail where he is being held on allegations of possessing methamphetamine with intent to distribute, criminal possession of firearms and possession of drug paraphernalia.
