Kansas Congressman Jake LaTurner is being nominated to what political scientists say is one of the most powerful House Committees.
Republican House Steering Committee for the 118th Congress named LaTurner to the House Appropriations Committee yesterday. The House Appropriations Committee decides how American tax dollars are spent, including funding the federal government. The committee touches on several important issues impacting the US including defense, agriculture, energy, healthcare, border security, and more.
LaTurner says he is humbled and honored to be selected and looks forward to working with his colleagues on the committee to deliver results for communities across Kansas.
