The Boil Order for the City of Caney has been rescinded.

The Kansas Department of Health and Environment has rescinded a boil water advisory for Caney's public water supply system. The advisory was issued because of low water pressure in the distribution system. Failure to maintain the required water pressure may put the system at risk for bacterial contamination.

Laboratory testing samples collected from Caney indicate no evidence of bacteriological contamination and all other conditions that placed the system at risk of contamination are deemed by KDHE officials to be resolved.
