The Wilson County Commissioners signed and approved the first two resolutions of the 2023 calendar year during today's meeting.

 

The first resolution regards financial statements and financial reports pertaining to the Kansas Cash Basis and Budget Laws for the 2023 fiscal year.

 

The second resolution authorized participation in the Rural Opportunity Zone Student Loan Repayment Program for the 2023 year.

 

Additional items of discussion were the renewal of the County Coordinator roles, with Casey Lair serving as county chair, Andrew Miller serving as vice chair, and Jerry Scott serving as the additional district representative on the County Commissioner Board.

 

Also, Wilson County will begin to review potential bridge construction projects needed for the 2023 year, per Road and Bridge Supervisor Kary Tatum.

 

Wilson County Commissioner meetings take place on Wednesdays at 9 a.m. from the County Courthouse in downtown Fredonia.
