Active Weather Night in Oklahoma

It was an active weather night across the area, with several tornado warnings and severe thunderstorm warnings in Oklahoma.

Two storms prompted warnings, one near Adair and the other was not far from Muskogee. According to Muskogee County Emergency Management Director Jeff Smith, a roof was blown off a barn into the side of a single family home in the Keefton area around 6:30 p.m. No injuries or other damage was reported in the area at the time other than tree debris.

The storm near Adair weakened and prompted a severe thunderstorm warning for northeast Oklahoma. Down trees and small hail were also reported with the storm.

According to state Mesonets, parts of Oklahoma and Kansas received nearly an inch of rain at most, although rainfall amounts varied widely. In Coffeyville, nine-tenths of an inch of rain was measured here at the radio station.
